Lighter Is BetterIn the process of engineering our King Pin Press, there was one thing we knew for sure; this thing has got to be lighter than the alternatives. To accomplish this, we shaved the end plates down into diamonds – that means big savings in the overall weight – and we did it without compromising the integrity of the tool. Also shaving down on the general mass of these plates was our decision to use two 5/8” bolts instead of one 7/8” bolt. More breathing room and less bulk in these weighty pieces mean only one operator is needed. |
